    Neurodegenerative disorders often start with a psychiatric syndrome that can be misdiagnosed.  These observed changes in behavior and mood reflect the changing anatomy and biology in the brain and provide insights into understanding mood, emotion, psychosis, compulsions and more.  Late-life psychiatric syndromes also increase the risk for subsequent dementia in a person.

    How to Support Patients Experiencing Infertility (Pearls for Primary Care)

    Current research shows that the stress levels of women with infertility are equivalent to women with cancer, AIDS or heart disease.  Supporting patients experiencing infertility, including those undergoing treatment can be challenging.  Reproductive Psychiatrist Dr. Nagalla will discuss biological and psychological aspects of infertility and recommendations about pharmacological and nonpharmacological management of  distress in these patients.

Due to the Pine Rest specific nature of this event, CME’s and CEU’s will not be available.
